Influenza 2009/2010 Update 2/21/10 We have opened flu clinics for the next two weeks, February 23rd - 26th and March 2nd - 5th. All patients can now receive their first or second dose of seasonal or H1N1 vaccine. Your child must be a patient of Waterman Pediatrics and must be under 19 years of age to receive these vaccines.
PLEASE NOTE: *High-risk conditions:
Children with these are NOT permitted to receive nasal vaccine. There MUST be 28 days between all nasal flu vaccines. Children who received a nasal seasonal flu vaccine less than 28 days ago MAY NOT have this nasal vaccine until the required 28 days have passed. Children who received the INJECTED seasonal flu vaccine can receive the nasal H1N1 vaccine without a time restriction. Please read our emails carefully. As our shipments come in there will be slight changes to the rules about who can get it. If we send an email it is because we have some new information. We will do all that we can to get the vaccine out to patients as quickly and fairly as we can. Please understand that we are severely constrained by the rules of the Department of Health and by the amount of vaccine made available by the CDC. We STRONGLY encourage you to check out the websites listed below before calling our office if you have questions. They are very informative and will probably provide you with the information you need.
